Drug Testing
Every registered competitor agrees to drug testing on show day and at random throughout the membership season. Refusing to submit to doping control can carry the same sanction as a positive test. Any failed test will result in disqualificatoin and suspension from the PLA for up to 2 years.
On-site urine or oral drug testing, tests for:
• Cocaine Metabolites
• Opiates/Opioids
• Methamphetamines
• Amphetamines
• PCP
• Alcohol
• Basic Testosterone Levels
Samples then get submitted to Redwood Toxicology to run a GC/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) analysis to confirm steroids, diuretics, or stimulants. We run the Panel 5552 (Stimulant panel) with results in 48 hours.

This test is consistent with WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) Tests.
